General question but if our SAN is not visible in active iq to allow us to generate an upgrade plan, is there anything that can be done?
I’ve tried adding the serial numbers and manually uploading the asup’s.
These are old 8040’s that we need to upgrade to 9.8

Hi @modern geode Digital Advisor will only show data (and generate upgrade advisor plans) for systems that have active entitlement.
Also, what version is the system currently running? Assuming you do have active entitlement, if the current ONTAP version is lower than 9.0, then Upgrade Advisor won't work as it only generates plans for systems running 9.0 or higher.

Ah I didn’t think to check the entitlement. We’re on 9.7p12 and going to 9.8p14

Yeah, so if the system is unentitled, Digital Advisor won't show any info for those systems. That being said, the ONTAP upgrade process is well documented here - https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/upgrade/index.html
