Hi all!

I've just updated to the latest Nabox and harvest versions, but I seem to be having trouble getting the qtree graphs to work. Any tips on a good place to get started to troubleshoot this?

Thanks much!

hi @thorny stirrup let's check Prometheus first. Can you open nabox's prometheus and type qtree_labels in the expressions input like so

That returns my qtrees!

excellent! a good start 🙂 and you are trying to use the ONTAP: Qtree dashboard to view them?

I believe I am. NetApp Detail: Qtree. I'm afraid I may have made some variable customizations that were based on our old grafana instance (not Nabox) that don't work with the updated collectors. 😬

ah ok that makes sense. what version of Harvest did you upgrade to and when you upgraded Harvest and Nabox did you reset the dashboards? If not, you can try that via

Nabox 3.2 and NetApp harvest 22.11.1-1

#

How do I know the reset has completed? It reset my variables but my graphs still aren't working. 🤔

one way to know is to check the name - the name you pasted earlier, NetApp Detail: Qtree is from an earlier version than 22.11. In 22.11 it should be called ONTAP: Qtree

Ahh I see the new dashboard now! Unfortunately, this doesn't match my use-case, as I'm trying to capture qtree usage over time (spaced used %, space used, space hard limit, files used). Is that just a matter of finding the new variable names? Just found the usage section at the bottom in the new graph, but I feel like this is only half of what I want.

glad that worked at least 👍 also checkout the ONTAP: Quota dashboard, it has some of that information

This is great! I think this is enough to get me going. Thank you so much for your quick help!! Greatly appreciated!! 😁
