#Login to 7MODE using AD account with CIFS set to WORKGROUP possible?

If I have a 7MODE filer running ONTAP 8.x is it possible to login with a domain account over SSH without having to join the domain first by running CIFS setup?

The filer is going to have zero knowledge of the domain until you run cifs setup and define DCs to auth against, so no. It’s a bit of a chicken/egg scenario there.
