How do you add NLF licenses via command line? Customer has network access restricted, so SystemManager isn't an option.

are they just serial into it?

seen this pop up a few times - few ways i've heard -
There is a curl method, but looks like a support case is required.

Can also open a non-techincal case to get the older style key (via NetApp SE, not sure if it'll work via partner?).

There is also an API method using /cluster/licensing/licenses https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMLP2882307/html/

Getting old style keys just kicks the problem down the road until the NLF licenses become required.

Given that the NLF is just a tiny text blob, CLI should be possible, since there are other things like ssh keys that let you add text blobs via CLI.

#

In this case I was able to work around the issue by getting a VM on the right subnet to get around the ACLs blocking SystemManager, but I'm sure other customers will run into it.

Hey @graceful silo , I’ve stuck this into our #1062049235681415168 forum, I agree with you. The cogs of code move slowly but hopefully we can get it in there

thanks, hopefully it makes it in before someone really needs it
