I don't see anywhere in the docs that it does not. I did create an SVMDR from my SVM serving SnapCenter, and it replicates all the snapshots correctly. Bur for SnapVault, I need to populate the snapshot tag with 'daily'. SC only allows you to populate the tag if you check SnapMirror.

Its a quandary, because the docs say nothing either way. But I am running SVMDR and it is backing up the volumes. But perhaps it will not restore. I'll have to re-read documentation, and you know rtfm is not my favorite past-time; but my least is watch YouTube videos... 😉 Thank you
