Got back into this game recently after not playing since December 2024, and was going around and updating my house, moving things, trying out new furniture, etc. I had been using one of the smaller ceiling lights throughout the build for even lighting, and decided to replace these with different ceiling lights that go with the decor better.

However I dixcovered I cannot remove them. They do not have a name when moused over, do not come up in the build menu, I cannot remove or move them through the build menu. I tried simply breaking them with an axepick, but getting them down to 0 makes it suddenly regain 15-20 'health'.

Is there a way to remove these or am I stuck with them until I start a new game?

The targeting is kinda wonky, but without seeing which lights they are, or how they're missing in the build list, I can't super offer advice.

There was a bug a very long time ago with a specific light, but I believe it had been fixed, I don't know it if is the same light or not though

Ah, yep those were the ones that were part of the old bug. Sneaky they were left behind, when they were removed they were supposed to be taken off builds.

When I get off work, I'll try and remember how I got rid of mine

Bad news, I'm still on shift for 5 more hours.
Good news, I will for sure find you a way to get rid of them, because I know there was a way without having to rebuild since they're all gone from my house.

I apologize for the wait on it though. I remember the first time I noticed this light was messed up, is because at night it wont light up, and upon trying to remove, ran into the issue you're having now

For when you're awake/available:

I had two in my house, building near it and demoing removed one.
The second is quite stubborn, not quite able to remove it, however! I do find it in my build menu. So I'll be messing with building and demoing it.

Though I was curious what version of the game it says you're on when you log into the main menu before choosing a character (it'll be dead center of the top of the screen)
I was wondering if there's a version error somewhere haha
