For instance, why does Reinforced Leather and Durable Cloth count as leather/cloth, but Gilded Blade isn't a type of blade?
Why do certain types of threads not get multiplied by augments?
Why can you use certain items as replacement for certain types, but not others,
Etc etc.
There are more examples, of course, but I feel like having this kind of information available on the tool-tip would be REALLY useful.
It doesn't even have to be something extreme. It could be as simple as something like saying this items counts as a leather/textile/metal etc etc.
An example of a game with a similar crafting system that does this VERY well, is Gust's Atelier series.
In that game, all of an item's categories are plainly listed with the item, so you always know what exactly it can be used for.
