#No online mode??

inflexion hosted servers were sunsetted with the recent patch.
Friends can join you if you host a game - options include connecting via steam friends lists or direct IP.
You also have the option of setting up a dedicated server for you and your friends to connect to. This server can be on any machine you can install the server framework on, or you can rent one. The Inflexion official partner for rental servers is gportal.
In any of these cases, if you were playing online, you can download your character - and any realms you had will come with you.
Does it just need to be an invite through steam?? I did host through steam and they weren't able to join.
the legacy version is offline solo only, it's the 0.3.2 version of the game just before the september 2024 rework update, before the self hosting mode was implemented, select "none" to get the last version of the game in the beta selector menu
To work through steam, you have to be steam friends, and steam has to see you (eg: no invisibles)
You choose your character, then choose "Host a Game", and have Steam selected as your connection type.
Set a password if you want one, then hit play.
Your friend will choose their character, and then hit "Join a Game". Connection type, Steam. Your steam name should be in the steam friend list dropdown.
