Hello, when I first got to the SoP in Sylvan's Cradle, I couldn't pass through the barrier, my gear score was too low. So I climbing picked my way in through a window, made it all the way to the bottom, and killed the Bear boss, the portal after that just took me back to my abeyance realm and did not clear the "clear the SC SoP quest." I assume it was because you have to be at the appropriate gear level to actually clear it. but now I'm gear score 56 and STILL can't pass through the barrier nor can I clear the quest despite killing the bear boss like 4 or 5 times. Is this bugged because I entered early? Can I no longer progress the main quest since I seemingly cannot complete the quest to clear the SC SoP? Is this a known issue? Is there any kind of fix? I hope my whole save isn't borked. Please help.

gear scores are no longer a condition for progress since the september rework of the game, redo the site of power by following the Sylvan's Cradle main quests. And are you sure you interacted with the altar before entering in the portal? because, the fact that you skipped some quests may have blocked the interaction with the altar that allows you to finish the site of power and get the next card

Was there something in the game that made you think a gear score was required? Lots of things about the game and progression have changed since September. I'd encourage you to slow down and actually READ all of your main quests. They'll point the way for progression.

The alster is dark blue and not intractable at the portal. I'll try finishing the "remove the corruption" quest thing with the potions. Hopefully i will get to a point where it actually clears the "cleanse the site of power," quest.

You may need to reset your realm if you snuck past the barrier that you couldn't get through.
AFTER you've completed your main quests, you should be able to get through the barrier without cheesing it.
also. Don't cheese barriers. Read your quests, their actual wording. Not what you think they say.
