#Foundations aren't snapping to the existing platform

I'm trying to extend the foundation I have my house built on, but I'm unable to get any new foundation blocks to "snap" to the existing ones. I can place some, unsnapped, on top of the existing ones, but not next to and level with the rest of the platform. I am building out over water, if that makes a difference. Maybe I clicked on some setting or other?

I think it should be X by default when placing to toggle snapping? It should be displayed in the lower-right hand side of the screen when you're placing something.

I thought X was to delete something?

ugh network error, trying again

It will delete if you are in build mode but not currently placing. When you select something to build and start placing, the function of X changes.

ahh I didn't notice that before, is that new? I've been away for a bit

It came in with the building menu changes, I think? I don't remember exactly when!

Ok so I just didn't notice before.

#

Also may I ask, is there a way for me to see how many things, objects I have built, put down, etc. and is there a limit of some kind?

To be fair I only noticed it recently by accidentally toggling it, so it might have been with the city update

#

You can turn on advanced building info in the options which will show how much of the limit you have used. I don't think it gives an item count though.

ok was just wondering because I share this realm with friends and we each have our own houses

I'd say you're a peach, but it doesn't mean what it used to
