Are the names of the charms relevant to their usage? usually I can slap a charm of the raven on my hat and it is always active, but the charm of the shotgun (enabling backstab) doesn't seem to work. I haven't played around with to many but does anyone know the limits of the new functionality?

I haven't played with the shotgun specifically - but I do know that the fabled charms work fine when put on clothing. Or at least, both the umbrella one and the climbing pick one do.

You mean it doesn't work specifically when it's not placed on the weapon or in general?
The shogun charm works, at least for me. I have no problem with it, it even works with the blunderbuss.

I have it on my hat, And I can see when my dagger does 50000 damage on a backstab, but when I switch to my sword and stab someone in the back, It does not seem to have anywhere near the damage, and I dont' see the gold crit come up, so I am suspect that the sword is not backstabbing. I'll have to do some testing if no one else has.
