I played the game a while ago and I decided to play it again to continue my progress on the new update and I see that my character no longer exists. How can I get it back?

If the last time you played was before the Realms Rebuilt update, that update caused a wipe. You need to start over for the new content. You can copy online character to offline by using the instructions referenced here https://discord.com/channels/854679517997695016/1310423766630797372 A pre rebuilt character can be played on the legacy server but that is not being updated.

the patch released on 12-Sept was a character wipe for everyone. You can continue to play your old character on the old patch by following instructions for legacy gameplay found here: #game-announcements message
But those legacy characters will never benefit from new patches.
