Let's say I have 2k Magic, and 5x crit. If I hit a mob/boss in its weak point with it, will it hit for 5x damage?

I got all the headshots I needed for Bass Reeve's quest using only spells and I've got the gold text of a critical several times with Fionn's Wrath. So, ranged enchantments definitely register weakpoints in some situations.
Don't recall ever getting a critical with Immolation but not sure if that's because not all spells do crits or just that I tend to launch a quick flurry while manoevring rather than carefully aim.
