How can you move between realms, i.e. back and forth, if the realm is not the place of retreat? I built in a desert realm and opened a portal there to another realm to mine resources. before the update, you always came out at a portal and could therefore return to your old realm. After the update you come out at the lodestars and the portal no longer has an ID like before! Do I now always have to make a business card and then enter it in the portal or have I overlooked something? TY for your answers!

right, you would take a lodestar to the portal and then you'd be going to realm B
the other option would be making all the portals right at the lodestar you come in on

your last opened realm of each type is still saved like normal - you only need to use the estate cards if you are tying to get temp access to multiple realms of one same type

I think we're talking at cross purposes. I meant how do I come back from a realm that I only need for resources, for example? and my current realm is not the “retreat”?
As an example. i build a 2nd base in a swamp and for the resources i open a portal to a desert realm. but in the desert realm there is no active portal like before. how do i get back to my 2nd base in the swamp?

in that case, you should probably carry a portal and an address card when you go to farm. or move your respite while you are moving mats and then move your respite back to where it was.

taking a portal with me would be expensive in terms of time, if i close the portal in my swamp realm, the portal in the desert realm is lost forever! 😉 but ty for your answers!

Portals can be closed. It's only reset that should remove your connection.

but i only use the realms to farm resources and then never again, so any portal in a farming realm would be lost!

Why not farm from a realm that is connected to respite or crossways and drop all the mats in the pepys? Putting your main base in a non respite non crossway place is always gonna have some extra steps to get back to

Yes Sir! I am a builder! We are always looking for nice spots to build and therefore it doesn't matter what kind of realm it is. Storied or not. But I now know that it's probably best to always have a realm estate card with you and then use it on site at the fixed portal!
