Finding a close by POI with Soaring buff can help; so can playing a minor realm card. Raising your stamina through gear and food is also helpful for climbing or gliding in from higher ground farther away.

Playing the Trickster card helps, as well as simply building upwards with a whole lot of stone. But imo these Herbarium agility bastilles just aren't worth the trouble.
