I sent a bug ticket, but I want to know how I will be rewarded, as I have good essences and materials in the equipment that was with him.

unfortulnotly, its a known bug and they are working on it. I had it happen 2 times in a row going to the same relam, so i reset that realm and it fixed it for me, but i know thats not going to work for everyone. Had to remake all the euipment for him

Happened 6 times to me so far , currently have a ticket open, but I'm just waiting and not expecting any thing to return all the gear that was lost , now I just leave the replacement companions in the basic gear and give them 1 upgraded tool which I remove and hand back after going through a portal.

I think it happened to me 4 times before I stopped recruiting new survivors. I didn't have any old/experimental armors left over, and the last time the bug hit both me and my buddy when we traveled through a portal.
