For those worried I did not get an individual message of restore but did put my ticket in early yesterday. I just tested and logged back in into the middle of my abeyance realm map my respite, base and all materials were back. Logged out and logged back in everything was still there. Went to the watch and back to respite everything was there. Also went to another realm through the portal and retured to respite and everything was still there. So you should be good to go if you put in your ticket before the time they stated yesterday.

• Make myself a gosh-darned estate card
• Take anything I really cared about out of my chests and onto my person
• Watched the sunrise, tell my base thank you for the memorys (just in case)
• Logged off until it's fixed fully

This game was blessed by Palworld and Enshrouded softening the blow of launch. Some EAs get most of their potential customers in the first month and fail to finish in a reasonable time after because honestly... what's the incentive? (cough Valheim cough)

The good news is that even if EA didn't have the best launch numbers, there's a ton of room for growth in player base and reasons for the developers to work on it. It could easily be a No Man's Sky situation.

Yeah, what happened to me, except it was after I managed to get back in after getting kicked due to network error. I think you can fill out the reset form in #game-announcements

Simply that a world save or server update occured at that time, and that everyone who wasnt previously affected that now is, was online at that moment.
People have mentioned the time-bomb effect of the save hitting your account later in the play session, and as far as I can tell this time bomb was applied during that update.
The reports that have continued into the night, I believe were all active at that moment, which coincidentally was 25min after the "we've rolled back the previous hotfix" announcement.
There was also one person who, as a result of said announcement, immediately made a new character and later in the night reported that new character losing their base. They too were online at 19:00 GMT.

The weakness of Nightingale is clearly the technical side overall. Very unefficient use of hardware, very unefficient use of network ressources, RAM allocation during the gameplay loop that causes freezes, Looks like game jam code in some ways... Not to be offensive or what, but... An exemple, switching weapon or initiating spell is causing a mini-freeze, it means that there was a memory allocation here, it's one of the basic good practice to Avoid absolutely memory allocation during gameplay loop...

If you'd lost it prior to dev announcement then you're group A. I suspect group A were also online at the same (earlier) moment but I can't pinpoint when that is and don't have any more supporting evidence for that claim.

The weird thing for me is I did experience a network issue on the US EAST servers. Reconnected to the US WEST servers just fine and played/ported back and forth between respite and other realms fine for at least 45min+... then one time the port back to respite took me to a whole different Abayance realm and base gone

If you restart, they may not be able to roll back your realm. In the form you submitted, they recommend you stay off that character and not progress it any further to prevent any loss between when you lost your realm progress and the roll back

There were 3 instances of players that the devs will have to try again today at some point.
a. misspelling, issue with user ID, etc where they couldn't find the character.
b. the player was logged in at the time the devs were going down the list, and the realm was active.
c. the form that was submitted didn't count to this issue. ie. a non abeyance home realm, or another bug

So it's two fold, and in my opinion as not a dev.... I'd say it could persist.

By all rights, the thing the cased the save files to go doodoo, if I understand it right, has been rolled back to not cause further damage.
However, I've seen bugs like this attach to a core and sometimes repeat (as seen here) upon next save.

So while it should be fixed, it might have only been bandaided.

If you're fine on your alt, what I would do is check every once in a while, if you even care at that point, and keep filling out the form until it's back.

This bug effected players who were logged in at a certain time a couple days ago when a hotfix was rolled out for another issue.
This caused a cascading effect, due to how the fix was done.
Once players who were not the intended targets of the fix were effected, the devs removed that "fix" for the original bug.
However, that didn't stop players from being infected.
I used the example of a bug bite last night. You're all bit, but when it chooses to flair up and be itchy is kind of RNG. Some people are effected right away (upon log in), some people it takes a few portal jumps and returns to respite.
As we've seen, it has a chance to return, therefore, some people just had nail polish over the bite, and it didn't heal properly.

But now we gotta wait for the doctors to figure it out. (devs)

My only thought on that, was it didn't start being reported until after the hotfix after the big patch.
And the way the devs explained it, is exactly whats happening to those effected.

ie: They noticed the issue with falling through the world was due to a disconnect with those players abeyance realms. So they "reloaded" those players back home. (asking them to relog, and they'd be ported home)
Relogging and porting home causes this disconnect for people here

So I tried tripping it. I portaled out to a few realms, ascended and regular, and I went to the watch, just in case.

yea we (two of our group) had just gotten to the watch at like 3am EST. we logged out to sleep and I came back at around 11am EST Saturday. I did a vault, successfully headed to respite (though it put me way up north so had to run to the base) but the base and such was at least still there. I plunked some upgrades down and logged out. Then an hour later myself and one other logged in did a vault, traveled to respite from the watch after vault completion and boom, no respite around 12-1pm EST

You know, I can tell you that before we got to the watch, my partner and I were having lag. I would travel to respite just fine (before 3am EST on Saturday) but he would always get a network error and have to log back in. Not sure if that is relevant or not but maybe worth noting? we're on the same network here.

You need to read the patch notes. This was an issue from the last patch. You can fill out a form to get them to roll back your estate

It's recommended that after you log into that character and gather the pertinent info for the form, you log out until it is corrected. You can still play other characters

Some more info about my base realm wipe if it can help with investigation. I played fine yesterday and this morning EU time then I logged off for lunch and when I logged back in, my friend who has his respite also in my realm (we are 4 in the realm using same base) just logged in and the base was gone. So maybe the issue came when my friend logged in as I had no problem ealier.

It's the nature of programing, you don't know where the pieces fall until you do it and wait for the result. You fix one thing, and something else completely can unravel.

But now that they know that, they can try to repair the original issue in such a way that doesn't cause a cascade failure, or rebuild the second bug in such a way that it doesn't interact with the fix for the first.

Sadly, once you're effected it might take the game a little while to actually catch up to you being effected visually.

Hey guys. SO. I got my realm and house back this morning. So I continued what I was doing before I lost my realm and house. I spent about 2 hours exploring and playing through the Desert Herbarium relam to move along the story. I stopped halfway though the realm to travel back to my respite to offload what I gathered. When I clicked "return to Respite", I had to wait for the laoding screen to start. Once the loading screen finished, I loaded back into a different abeyance forest realm with my house gone

So I believe, in my case, the realm breaks when I port back to my respite from the desert herbarium and then have to wait for my realm to load before the loading screen starts

That’s what I suggested earlier. I just checked my f2 menu as well and the region is also blank. I wonder if the game sets the wrong region for some people, or gives them one when theirs was blank, so they’re simply on the wrong server and their base is fine on the old one?

I reported it yesterday with the first wave or so and sent a form in yesterday and a second one today. I saw the latest game announcement but didn't know if I should report my realm is still not rolled back, my base is still not here.

Just lost connection to my forest abeyance, other realms that had Fae portal connections are just stuck trying to open, however if I stop the opening and throw some cards in there it fails to even start connecting.

Same its been about 18hours for me and the realm showed up when friend teleported to it but is once again lost for me and I have been unable to get to it. They seem to be working hard and diligent Hopefully they patch @ 6pm just set things back to a Pre patch broken state as I am seeing player that are still having this issue after they did the quick fix.

It’s like when your car breaks down - takes the mechanic a while to find the source and then address it.

Hi all - as you're probably aware the patch rollout is underway. Thank you all again for your patience with this one.

This game update provides a preventative change so players will not encounter this issue going forward. However, it is likely to increase the chance of the 'hobbledehoy' network errors - instead of allowing the realm save to get into a bad state if that request had an issue, it will instead return you to the character select screen. You are then able to retry again and the save remains safe. Our next step after this will be to continue to work on a more robust fix.

Please note, the patch alone will not restore previous realms. For that we will continue to use the request form for anyone still affected. We've finished rolling out updates to those requested as of ~14:15 MT today. As before, in some cases we were not able to do the rollback (ie. realm was in use, etc) and in those cases we will add those requests to the retry list for later today.

After installing the game update and servers are back online, please retry the respite realm - and if you still require a rollback, please submit a new request (even if you had one previously). Thanks again!

From what I understand our base realms were going into a bad state and failing to load, so it automatically created a new realm and respite, hense the issue. This update will instead give you a network error and send you back to char select screen instead of putting your base realm into a bad state, thus preserving the realm for you to try and connect too again.

Now there is another possibility, aside from the rollback not having worked for 1 of the 3 reasons they listed.

Some people are reporting that upon rollback, they had been put back a week, or more. In my case, a weeks rollback would mean that I have absolutely nothing built.
