I heard bound straps leather creates solid black clothing. I tried making a striking peacoat with the bound straps leather (and jana thread cloth. not sure if there was something else I could have used for thread that would have gotten me solid black??) and it turned out bright white 😦 I don't understand...

I made gloves and shoes out of Jana and Grendel and ended up with orange toned brown instead of white or green (I think grendel usually makes green? I made a dress out of grendel with Hunbaba and it came out green)

Mostly out of grendel that I farmed from ascended hunt swamp, 'cause I'd been previously hunting hunbaba hoping the color would be cool. Hunbaba leather was that yucky orangey brown. So, I'm reasonably sure the dress is majority grendel and the game notes it in the paranthesis.

I have the difficulty set to extreme, but I think I found them in hard swamp ascended hunt.

The leftover grendel drops I have say that they're tier 2. The druid grendel thread doesn't have a tier, but the regular grendel thread (i'm guessing dropped from the grendel brutes?) is tier 2.

Need to do lvl 220 swamps to get the tier 3 thread. If used as the cloth on the dress it will be green but it picks up a sheen like it's now made out of pvc. Luminous fiber is the only item I've found that will get you the base color of items before the patch. If you could somehow collect enough to make 36 of it to make 3 fabric and add some other thread to make 3 luminous fiber lining then that matronly gown should have the black trim. Super frustrating that we need to sacrifice so many stats for the sake of fashion now.

its a mix one is primary color other is secondary
like for my top hat the leather was primary and secondary was the thread
so bound leather with advanced arcane wick got me pure black

I think the cloth determines the primary color on the striking peacoat. I used jana thread for the cloth last time and it got a bright white. I used tier 1 predtor thread for it this time and still got bright white.
for the leather portion, I used bound leather the first time and the secondary / accents color was black. Used Jana leather for it this time and the secondary / accent color was light brown this time.

generally the first two components determine color, the first being the one with the majority. the second component like lining will be the smaller portions (for the most part) also, i've gotten a couple advanced arcane thread from doing vaults, but i've only gotten like 5 out of like 100 vault runs lol

yeah, and it did turn the accents black, but i need something that will turn the cloth/ thread components black too.

oooh! thank you! i wonder if the colors will be different depending on the clothing item too then. Because I also used the predator meat and did not get that color, but it was on a different garment.

I made this gown with Rainbow Trout Cloth, and the lining was made with Redeye Bass Fabric, but I think any of the fish will make the material shimmery green/black.
