Im trying to understand how this works. im assuming that i build the item, i keep it somewhere in the house and that unlocks extra recipes ? if so, why cant i craft a pistol? i think i got the recipe somewhere in some essence trader but i cant find the recipe in any of my stations to craft.... im gear level 54 and im still using a knife to kill monsters XDDD its starting to get harder and harder, so any help is appreciated ^_^ thank you!!

New myself and a few things here, first, dont use Knile to kill monsters, used your AXE or PICK. (Axe, Pick, Hammer do better based on type of monster you are figthing.)
I crafted my first pistol yesterday. I just had to drop down a simple saddle rack and i could then craft. Make sure its close to the workbench. Look at the green lines to ensure its connected when placing. After placing, open the Workbench( also effects Sewing Bench) and look at station Traits. It should have western tools listed. Note that Augments dont unlock the recipes, just let you use them. Open the crafting recipes and make sure you have the pistol. Note it also shows what augments are required to use it.

where do i get the stock? its the only thing im missing to craft my pistol and none of my worktables can craft it
i have a slingbow but some mobs come to my face and i need a melee wep T_T
regarding the hammer, i didnt think of it, thought the knife was better ^^ ill craft one ty 😉
