There’s a video memory leak. Restart the game every hour or so when you have the issue. It happens to me when my helper chops trees after a while.

I had this experience with my companion chopping trees and triggering the particle animation of the wood

I hope this helps but if I get this issue on my 4070, I just turn off frame generation and turn it back on to fix it. Ark ascension has a similar issue and the fix was the same.

I think found the solution. If you have a good PC, try to set everything to ultra/quality but lumen - global illumination to performance, that's perfect.

Take the axe away from your survivor's hand and you'll be fine xD

Trees falling animation is very buggy/taxing on the GPU

I've also notice GPU usage and Cpu usage drop really low when this is happening and go back to normal once the tree is down.

@robust ermine You should try cutting trees using Oberon enchantment. Heck it can cause high ping latency as well not just FPS drop lol
