I had joined a friend in his realm, and created a cairn there and set my respite to it, but I did so without creating a card for my first realm.
Is there any way to get back to my original realm?
If not, how do I get to any new realm like that, that has the first boss? I haven't defeated him yet.

You can try putting in the cards for your realm again. Abeyance + Desert/Forest/Swamp at a portal and see if it takes you do your old world, it should unless you reset the realm but with it being Abeyance i don't know. as for bosses you can do it in any realm does not matter you can make a new one and reset it as many times as long as you have cards.
