Work In Progress
Thank you very much. This part of the game almost made me go away for a bit, it was the most difficult to figure out and there is no documentation except for what people in the community put together.
This is perfect... I have the toolbox and it puts out the green lines as you are placing it for the FIRST time, but not after that, even if you pick it up and move it.
I understand it now. Please go write about other things now and perhaps we shall get the manual we need. ha ha
Thanks.
The devs really need to rework this ridiculous augment system so that we don't have to do crazy things like this just to be able to manage augments.
@Ian - Agreed
We are in agreement with this. It is so complicated it is not very immersive. I would say they need to rework that a little... but I'm nobody (just an old 45+ yr programmer), lovely game otherwise
It is like they overthought and over complicated augments but did little or nothing on Survivor AI, both of which are bringing me to a breaking point with this game for awhile. Sad, because it is a beautiful game and otherwise interesting... TY Naresh for the assist! Great Work
I got fed up with the server lag personally.
When we're running around and you notice all of those micro-screen-hitching / pauses in framerate happening so frequently, it's because the client is waiting on the server to load something.
It's just poor netcode, the client shouldn't be doing micro-freezes while it waits on server to update something on the client.
it's even more noticeable in 3rd person view
I disagree with this. I like the system how it is. Could it use some improvements? Sure. But I like it. Also, this is all very good feedback for the feedback site!!
they literally just stole the valheim crafting bench upgrade system, and instead of Stars, put checkboxes, and made the checkboxes limited for no reason other than to be annoying
we already have to learn the recipe for everything we want to craft, but on top of this, you have to learn the recipe for the augment that enables that recipe, and -here is the stupid part- you have to make the augment that enables the recipe you want to CRAFT work on a bench that only allows a set # of attached augments at a time.
there's absolutely no reason for this at all
it's just bad game design
whoever thought it was a good idea, they're just wrong lol
it's a giant headache for every player when they get to the point where they're trying to figure out why the hell they can't get a bench to show certain recipes
A lot of games take inspiration from other games. I have my opinion and you have yours and that's okay. I reccomend posting your constructive feedback over in https://discord.com/channels/854679517997695016/1209256345547571271 So the devs are aware of the changes that you want to see. There is also most likely a post there. You should upvote it.
I don't have constructive feedback for them, I have a negative review for them on steam instead, like 50% or so of their playerbase.
Some game devs don't even deserve constructive feedback.
We paid for this game, we have expectations of a product.
This game is subpar of more than 40% of their customer's expectations.
Ridulous that we have to put things in seperate rooms and connect things with invisible lines.... too complicated....unfortunately the Steam community thinks so as well.
It makes me sad. Show me ALL of the recipes on a bench, or make a bigger bench as you progress like in Icarus.
I disagree, I feel seperate rooms for each production makes sense rather than one massive chaos room
In real life, it would be one big room, especially since we are "Settlers".
you can mix and match which augments you use to obtain different effects, its rather deep
Anyway, best to stay quiet because I fear this otherwise useful conversion shall become Moderator locked
in real life it would not, factories dont work like this, they make springs in a different building than the motors
this is pure copium
As this topic is getting out of hand, and not the point of the guides, I'm sorry friends. It's being locked.
Just for the OP @queen wolf of you need to make any edits to this post please feel free to DM one of us mods and we'll unlock it for you do to do
