#Applying infusions

I've had a few infusions I can't seem to get to apply to anything, so I don't know if it's an issue of weapon/tool/armor (and have an available slot), or if some of them are bugged. The ones I crafted seem to work better.
what do you mean by the ones you crafted?
The infusion quest I thought required that you make an infusion
yes it does
i know that you cant apply a blue infustion to a green itme. they have to be tha same color to apply
yes as showed in the pic above , @tall stirrup , i crafted a green infusion and cant equip it to my green crossbow or green t shirt :/
i just dont want to keep wasting 40 essence crafting green simple items to get the quest done, seeing if anyone knows a working item
Have you crafted your infusion or are you trying to apply one you found?
what is the infution? might not work on thouse items
I Crafted it @paper cedar
Then it sounds like a limitation like what Gerry said
it is the hale infusion. im going to craft the constancy one and see if it works
well of course it worked for that one right haha. They should specify what infusion works for what gear you know? so when youre someone like me with no clue what they are doing you dont waste 40 t1 essence trying to make a smarter decision :p
thanks for the help @paper cedar @tall stirrup
i think hale can only be used on somthing that gives an injury resist to brgin with
I feel ya 😆 there's been a lot of trial and error for me.
your infusions have to add to an already existing stat on the item. so the run boost only works if the item already increases speed. block only on items that have block efficiency etc.
i have the same problem....i have crafted green uncommon pickaxe and i have crafted green infusion, when i right click on infusion, Apply is greyed out...this is probably a bug same as with repairs
As Corrupted Desire said, Infusion seem to be more of an "upgrade an existing stat", not an "add a stat".
If the infusion isn't for a stat present on your green items, you won't be able to apply it.
I really like the game but this is made more difficult than it should be. You get a quest on the second map and no real clue how to infuse things. I am lost with this infusion stuff too. If you can't infuse any item you have up to that point, the A.A.O. should tell you and give you advice what is expected.
I now have infusions, found and crafted and no item to use it on and no clue where or how to get such an item. Not so well done from inflexion.
That's part of the things they have to work on during early access. The game mechanic is implemented, but they still need to improve it's explanation.
That will come with time once the game is more stable, but for now we just have to guess, haha.
Do you have upgraded gears/tools? Does your infusion impact a stat present on said gears/tools?
Yes and no. I had upgraded a tool but that does not work with the build infusion. I have lots of other green infusion, none of them is working. I assume after reading all this, that I have to find an upgraded item that somehow fits with any infusion I have? My point is: the game does not provide useful info how to use this system. This should be worked on dearly up the the release. I can*t upgrade lots of items too, because at the point of this quest you have really few of these green infusions. You should KNOW what to upgrade or infuse to get this ... quest done!
I finally FOUND one that fulfilled the quest, the bought one did not work on my upgraded items. I might have upgraded the wrong stuff for the intended use of the buyable infusion, but the game did not help me in any way to do this.
Yep, that'll probably be present in game when it release in 1.0, just... not yet ^^'
Would be helpful 😉
yes it does, but its not intended for every infusion to impact every piece of gear
you can add strength infusion to a tool with strength on it, but you cannot add poison resist if the tool does not already have poison resist
