No doubt you'll note this question is phrased in a somewhat biased fashion. However, I've always often found equipment durability to be an inherently (and unnecessarily) grind-promoting mechanic, rather than it being based in realism, or creating game fun. The industry seems to be committed to the idea that this mechanic is somehow necessary for a game to succeed, and ranges in dealing with it from constantly crafting new items (e.g. Green Hell), repeatedly repairing the same item with newly acquired resources (see, e.g. Grounded, Conan: Exiles, etc), or trivially interacting with a specific crafting bench periodically (e.g. Valheim). Are there plans for this mechanic to be present in Nightingale; will it be implemented in a way that adds fun-value to the game, or just the usual grind-value?
