Your solution would be pinned to a particular version of the Swift exercise files so that’s pretty confusing that a different track’s solution would have been pulled down. Are you sure you weren’t in the wrong folder? VSCode has given me that issue before where I had multiple instances open and the one I was using was not the one I thought it was.

yeah i'm pretty sure, i haven't worked on the swift track for a while.
anyway, i deleted my post because i figured something out with the other part of my question. so hopefully i'll be able to submit my update exercise. i'll keep an eye out if any more mix ups like the above occur again
