Fun fact: you could(and possibly still can) obtain Subnautica achievements with cheats by reloading the file after exiting because the cheats disable after you reload, I don't think it really checks.

Created "How do I get to the Fabricator Base"

Firstly, where am I supposed to find the exit to the Fabricator Caverns? I know how to get to the Crystal Caves but not the Fabricator Caverns. Secondly, how do I deal with Shadow Leviathans? Strafing doesn't work because the seatruck is so trash, and their range of vision is like basically infinite, so I literally have no clue how to pass all of them. Lastly, when I enther the Fabricator Caverns, how do I find the Base itself? Thanks for reading anyway

I agree.
Poor Riley gets killed over and over again by:
– thirst
– hunger
– lack of oxygen
– leviathans
– those farting things (oh no, not them, they’re just gross)
I also have some theories (which are totally stupid):
-He used to work in a pizzeria with animatronics and got exposed to a strange substance.
-Another theory: he has a strange gene that reacted to the Kharaa bacteria and made him -immortal, giving him the ability to wake up in his base every time he dies.
-Or building on that one: he actually absorbs the energy of items in his inventory and injects it into himself upon death, allowing him to revive in his base.

@SpiderMonke idk if you still need this, but anyway. The Cyclops can probably fit into the Lava Pit, at least I would expect it to, but definitely not in the hole that leads into the LL. I can't be sure about the first question. I'll test it and say in about an hour if you still need the answer

In my 2nd pt, the Sea Dragon attacked me, but I dodged all his attacks except for 1 and escaped into the PCF

When I was marking the coordinates for the POIs, the last small wreck was actually in the crash zone and I was like "AW HELL NAH, THAT AREA HAS 10 REAPERS" so I used the "kill" command, so thats why I dont trust coords as much any more.

@Hammerheadnerd ig the main problem with Below Zero for me is the lack of mobility. The Seaglide is nerfed, Robin swims slower than Ryley, the Seatruck is genuinely terrible, even the Prawn feels different (grappling arm in particular), idk if it actually is. The land is absolutely necessary for completing the game, yet it's hardly better than in the main game. There are like 4 surface biomes in the entire game (at least fun ones), the land biomes are all very similar, the cavern biomes feel very separated from the surface ones, the transitions are unexplainably wrong. The plot is objectively worse than the main game. I will quote a YouTube video that I watched like 70 years ago, "Come to Sector Zero, accomplish nothing, and the world forgets you once you leave". Even obtaining the antidote is unnecessary, and if you don't look at external sources, chances are high you won't even know it exists. I still liked the game overall, because Subnautica is just a very good game and it's very hard to make it bad, and I am being way too harsh on Below Zero, it still has some cool features, but for me, the 2 games are uncomparable

The PRAWN grapple was definitely changed, you get very little momentum with it and when you do it dies as soon as you stop grappling.

@SansHorrorfell I am probably the only one with this seemingly controversial opinion but I prefer the diesel sound more. I think the main reason why is because it really feels more natural and 'techy' than the Subnautica Prawn. Also, I'm biased with Below Zero. I agree that Subnautica is the objectively better one, but Below Zero has a charm that is strong enough for me to not really understand all the hate.

And I guess also because I really like the designs and fauna made by Alex Ries. I really Chelicerate, even more so than the Reaper. Probably because the Reaper doesn't make sense morphologically. (Though, both leviathans suffer from being sea monsters eating ants syndrome.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen any reliable sources confirming that the events took place ~50 years after Alterra was created, that wouldn't make a lot of sense if you ask me

Why is there an Alien Arch from the Mountain Island to the Floating Island? All the other Arches connect to the Primary Containment Facility, except for the one that connects the ATP to the QEP, but those are important Precursor facilities, so I can understand that. But why do you guys think they randomly connect the 2 islands? It's not like the Floating Island was particularly interesting to the Precursors, at least it doesn't look like it was. It's also relatively useless, because it connects to such a random spot inside a cave, I don't think anyone's used it (unless your base is close to the FI of course). Does anyone have any information, either canon or just theories?

Hi, I’m new here, and I’m honestly shocked at how active this place is compared to other wikis I’ve been on, even though we haven’t had a new game for a while. This might be my only post, but then again, anything’s up in the air. So, we all know about the virus keeping us from leaving and how we need to find the sea emperor leviathan in order to get of 4546B… but did we really have to do all that? Like, the quarantine enforcement platform keeps the virus from spreading, and if three ships get shot down in orbit, I’m sure nobody’s gonna go that way. And then there’s SEL’s dialogue, where she says that when her children are born, it’ll be here end. Does this imply she could live forever(probably not)? And let’s not forget that we land in a trillion credits worth of debt after we escape. Idk, the sheer lengths I have to go to save 4546B are so daunting, but at the same time I feel like creative mode is a cop out that deprives the game of its thrills that come with survival. I honestly think I’m better off just building a seabase and calling it a day, a bit like the Degasi did. And Ryley’s just one guy, and we know the Peepers are the temporary cure, so should I not go to the darkest depths?

Alright, so I can't just survive and explore without curing the virus, bc someone will come looking for the Sunbeam and then more ships will get shot down, right? And I know Lani's leviathan character definitely isn't long for this world. It's just, time is a fickle thing, and I'm open to the idea that I'll leave this world with some unfinished games, since it's an inevitability(like, I'm thinking of getting ancient hardware to play the OG Silent Hill 2 and Luigi's Mansion, which I'll need to be pretty loaded to get, or pull some careful strings). So, I'm sorry for asking again, but you weren't being very clear: would the universe have been safe if I simply choose to survive rather than save the day and escape? Sure, 4546B's loss would be felt, but there's plenty of other works that require greater sacrifices from the main characters so that things don't go to the wayside.

In the lore you have to cure the virus, otherwise you die from it. The keyword there is that Peepers are a TEMPORARY cure, they won't just stop the virus from progressing or you from dying. Once you cure the virus, I guess you can just stay on the planet, but you'll have no human interaction for the rest of your life, that can't be good for your mental health lol. And also, Ryley paid off the debt by making his own book and selling it, as well as selling the information he acquired on the planet

I literally never make any new bases. Every new playthrough goes like this for me:
1. Choose a spot for a new fun base
2. Start the playthrough, collect basic resources in the Safe Shallows (whatever fits in my inventory), make a scanner, a habitat builder, and a seaglide
3. Go to the desired location
4. Make my base there and collect all new resources starting from there
It's annoying for some locations that don't have a particular resource anywhere near (Like, for example, I made a base close to the BKZ in the Mushroom Forest, and whenever I needed titanium I had to go to the Shallows/Dunes/Crash Zone), but overall it works well

First, cyclops is too much to transfer resources. Second, I hate replacing my seamoth with solar charging, sonar, crush depth, and some other things I forgot. And I already finished my transfer and deconstruction on my safe shallows base. Just read my PFP (profile page)

Far Sky the first game is like Subnautica but with less possiblity, it's on earth, there's no dry land just underwater base, ur submarine crashed on the sea bed and u need to find every part to make surfac and get rescued
Sky Break is like no man's sky you're solo on an planet filled with macha gone roge and u need to collect plant for a disease to save humanity
The free ones the last games is a parkour game (I don't know much for that one I din't played it)

Spoiler alert : 4 got shot down on 4546b wont tell u who it is tho and for the debt Ryley have a pda with so much data about alien fauna, flaura and technologie he can just give alterra his pda and no more debt and he made a book, became popular and kinda promoted the pionner programme of Alterra by surviving 4546b
