@serene gorge I’m not too experienced myself but you should experiment with opacity, shading, using as many different layers as you want, etc.
It’s a different way to draw but it’s arguably more versatile than pencil if you learn it

For shading just get a brush tool, lower the opacity a LOT, and then use more rounds on the heavier shaded parts. That’s what I do anyways

and the way you draw the shape of your head is kind of odd and doesnt fit that much with the way you draw hair
you can look up references for head shapes or look at a simple skull
