Bug title:
Tadpole speed bug
Platform:
PC
Game:
Subnautica
Details:
Subnautica 2:
have a moon pool large enough for 2 tadpole docks and a vehicle fabricator.
A tadpole is in the right dock, and the left dock is vacant. To the left of the left dock is a vehicle fabricator.
Created a tadpole in the fabricator. It instantly docked itself.
Upon driving the new tadpole, it pulls itself to the ground and sticks to it. Going to deeper water makes the vehicle drag down to the bottom again.
Going to a deep enough area allows it to pull off the ground and gives so much speed to the tadpole that crossing the entire map from beta area -> beta area takes around 10 seconds. If holding w while looking in the air (while out of water), you can force the vehicle to fly.
There is no way to park besides getting out of the vehicle. The vehicle continues to rubber band at some points while driving.
The entire time, the other tadpole works flawlessly as it should.
Reproduction Steps:
Have 2 tadpole docks as close as they can be to one another and dock a tadpole in the right dock. On the left of the vacant dock, place a vehicle fabricator. The tadpole will instantly dock. Get in the tadpole and drive. It should instantly stick to the bottom. Drive forward as much as you can, trying to find a deep spot to get off the ground long enough to stay off the ground. You will be able to tell with ease that this speed is exponentially larger than the speed it should be driving at.
The location of the moon pool was in shallow water, less than 100m. It was roughly 75 meters of the spawn lifepod (I believe Northeast).
I have a recording of the bug itself, but not how I replicated it as my clipping software was not working at the time.
