I see it as 3 areas, the beginners, starters, seeking help and ambitious, people call their art good, even if it’s bad. Then there are the good artist, the ones with experience, and everyone adores them. Then there is this gray area in between, when people see the art and think to themself “whatever” or “okay” because no one really cares about those artists. Ah screw it i need more coffee and magnesium.

Ok, as you know by now, I have a webcomic. I was designing weapons, and I made a sword for a winged character that looked sorta like the survival knife.

So I ran with the idea, here was the result. (the sword is off to the right.)

Basically, I decided to give her knives on her wings, and I also went with the ALTERRA color scheme of black, grey and orange.

Oh, and before somebody says I'm copying Mercy from Overwatch, I would like you to know that I created this character before I knew about Mercy. (I had heard of Overwatch, but never really looked into it.) She's actually inspired by Evie from Red Rising by Pierce Brown.

ok so, you took that coincedence of the weapon looking similar and went to far with it. The way the wings are designed i would doubt it would ever fly. I think it wouldn't fly because just from looks the suit looks to heavy and there are no bends inside the wings to which it then wouldn't work. I didn't even think of the character mercy when i saw this because Female with Wings doesn't equal mercy. the idea of the suit is interesting altough i doubt would work with this current design. The knifes on the wings seem impractical and therefor kind of usless. Aside from that the art itself is lacking anatomy (i am also not very good with anatomy but i can see basic mistakes). I would suggest looking at Tutorials for anatomy. Overall Great Idea just poor execution

okay not gonna lie while working on this I kind of forgot what point I was trying to make but but I think what I was going for was that perspective stuff in terms of landscapes will pretty much come down to saturation values of the forground and background and layering things in a way where the front is mroe saturated that the back.

😂It always amuses me when people use a discord specific to a game or other product/topic and just post whatever. I’m definitely not doubting any of the artist’s skill or creativity, most of the posts here are jaw-dropping, stunning and breathtaking all at once, but at least 60% is not topic related.
