if you want a good free 3d modeling software for begineers Blender works pretty good.
- Weathering is essential, I see you have done it on some textures, and some on the pipes aswell.
- It depands on what is going through the pipe (probably water bc it's a waterlock) so maybe to make it look a little bit old, Some waterdripping.
- Maybe some rust?
- If your modeling it after subnauitca (Or to look like it matches the rest of the bases in subnauitca) , then the walls would be a glossy white, and on the top of a wall, where it meets the roof, a black seal and some lighting.
- if this is just reality, then the walls a steel with some bolts (which i see you did). maybe add some rust to the walls on top of the texture when you get there.
- For the valve i would think a red paint that's falling off and a little rust in between.
- I think the screen should have the logo of the company that it's made from, and if it doesn't and you don't want to create a logo, etc, Then just a black screen would look good.
- I do like how you made the pipes different colors, i think that works well, maybe add 2-3 more colors and repeat one of them on the pipes that don't have colors.
- And maybe add one of those colors to the main pipe which is the first thing i see.
