As others have already pointed out, this game absolutely struggles with its female designs.
Every one is the same lean hot type and like half the female roster wears a crop top.
The only outliers in terms of design are shiv (she's blue kekw) and elluna (furry).
Where as the boys get cyborgs, and big guys, and monsters, and floating mages and also Beebo.
I love myself some gremlins, some monsters, just something that isn't the same lean figure the entire female cast is sporting. So please, stop making every character a hot girl in a ridiculous top.

Spice up the silhouettes, the voices, the animations and the appeal, thank you.
We're currently at 11-13 female to male hunter ratio, and if you're going to try to pull equal, please give us at least something that isn't as cookie cutter.

What a weird take. Like nonhumans are what made this game (kp, void, elluna, Felix, oath), and are some of the most expressive and memorable characters out there. And what's wrong with a horned character? Do you like, think you're going to hell if you find a character in the aspect of the devil appealing?

i love hot chars (both men and women), but PLEASE give me monsters and unique female designs, give me cho'gath vibes, rek'sai, a Hudson-style female, a full-armored enormous oath-like woman. Let's not fall into league of legends' thousand same faced women 🥲

Probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but oh well.

The amount of people being triggered by video game character designs just baffles me. Nobody is responsible for making you feel comfortable with your own body type, nor your perception of others, especially when we're talking about fictional characters on a screen. Your sense of comfort and self worth needs to come from within, and if you keep externalizing this by saying "omg they need to do XYZ with their characters, how insensitive", you're only perpetuating your own struggle. This is a business, and it's very clear that many companies use sex appeal to lure in their target audiences. I don't necessarily agree with this practice, but what I'm saying is that you might be happier if you let go of any expectations or grievances around the matter and just enjoy the video game.

wanting to see characters like you doesn't mean requiring external validation. People can get frustrated with the state of affairs, but characterizing any interest in a different way (whether that's for personal representation, an interest in more unique designs, or just wanting characters more expressive and distinct) as grievances or triggering seems like you're assuming a lot, borders on pathologizing people by their taste, especially on a post that is just saying 'hey, would love some more variety'

Essentially, the frustration is stemming from dissatisfaction with others' (free) artwork. Telling the creators to "Stop doing this and instead, do this. Thanks." Pretty rude if you ask me. You wouldn't show up to an art gallery and tell the artist what they need to change about what they created (or at least I wouldn't).

The fact that this is such a common take is just weird to me and I'm sure the people that spent countless hours on designing don't appreciate it either. I guess there's always going to be critics, to each their own. But if you're not happy with it, phrase your "suggestions" more politely or go make something of your own!

Games have artistry to them, and people work hard on that art. They are also products meant to get our time and money. If you think every concept art (much less finished design) hasn't had ten different eyes on it dictating changes to a variety of purposes, many of them not artistic in the slightest, is to misunderstand the process and product. I'm not being down on that process, to call it an uncut artistic vision is to be naive to the process and industry. While we aren't entitled to abuse the devs, the audience is part of the ecosystem of an ongoing work. To think in this area specifically the design work is sacrosanct and anyone who expresses interest beyond the current trends needs to either shut up or leave the community is laughably cherry picking.

I am also very much, not asking them to "Do something else instead, "Fix" your artwork" or something, simply suggesting ways in which I would enjoy them to do other things too. They also are making designs for players to enjoy, I am that player, and so I'd like to also have something for me pretty pleaaaase
