#Hoverwings compromise

So we all know how awful it feels to see bishop in the skybox with double hoverwings throwing rmb will perma out of reach.
But this nerf to hover wings feels pretty bad, cancelled by wind rings and jump pads removed some really cool tech and escape capability from the game.
also enemy knockback as well makes it even more difficult to escape when brall can cancel hoverwings with lmb and bishop canceling hoverwings with just her empowered lmb is pretty rough.

I would rather talk about a better solution for the power that will still allow cool movement tech without allowing insane abuse of the powers

What do you yall think about this?

Ive always thought removing the use of duplicate powers could be a good solution for problematic abilities like abyss specialist, hover wings and glider jets.

Some potential solutions are:

  1. Hoverwings always follows glider logic when it comes to flight paths, preventing it from being used to gain absurd height (the main abuse of the mechanic with Bishop) while still letting it be used over the abyss

  2. Have Hoverwings carry horizontal height without carrying vertical height, giving it synergy with other items (most notably jump pads and frog jump) without giving it absurd synergies with Bishop

  3. Make it no longer extend upwards momentum so Bishop cannot go to the top of the screen with it. It would still stop downwards momentum so you don't fall to the abyss and would still keep any existing upwards momentum you have from before you start it.
