cant track how or why it happens but 50% of the time the leader gives 1/4th exp that its suppose to. ive gone through days of footage and cant pinpoint any correlation causing it but its very impactful when the mob thats suppose to give your team 300+ exp gives 80.
also couldnt pinpoint if its always 1/4th sometimes it seems to give 1/2 exp, so much variation between sharing exp with teammates and the 50% bonus.
i can provide clips of it giving the reduced amount if that helps.

Exp gains are kinda wild in the game, it's honestly pretty unpredictable how much exp you get in general
Since you've done the work to track it though, check a couple of the contributing factors to xp:
Which day/night is it (I think there's a multiplier)
What is the level gap between you and the creep (I think you get more the bigger the gap..?)
How many allies are around (xp gets split, but more like 4 players give 65% xp each or so, not 25% xp each)
