#Cannot download launcher

Same here - Theorycraft Games Launcher.exe is stuck "Updating" after I login an click install but the exe has no network activity and disk activity is 0.1mb/s so I don't think its doing anything.
Already tried the website help steps as well as the ones from this post #1256275434040201226 message]

UPDATE: Managed to get it working. Here are the steps I took

  • Stopping and closing out of Theorycraft Games Launcher Setup.exe
  • Uninstalling Theorycraft Games Launcher Setup.exe (rightclick the .exe and unzip it with 7zip or winrar, inside one of the folders will be an Uninstall Theorycraft Games Launcher.exe
  • Going to each of these locations and deleting all the files there (Win+R & copy paste these there)
    %APPDATA%\theorycraft-games-launcher
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\theorycraft-games-launcher-updater
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\theorycraft-games-launcher
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\PatchKit
  • Restarting Windows (restart, not shutdown)
  • Once back in Windows going to Windows Defender and turning off all the options under "Virus & Threat Protection Settings"
  • Turning on a VPN
  • Launch Theorycraft Games Launcher Setup.exe as admin
  • Login with login credentials (not thru steam)
    AFTER ALL THAT (I had done some of these things, but not all at once) I finally got everything setup in time for the playtest; Hope everyone reading this can too!
