when i open the Theorycraft Games Launcher Setup, i get a small loading bar that begins to fill, and then disappears with an error popup. the error reads:
The launcher has crashed. Please send LAUNCHER_LOGS_2024....zip file to the support team. Thanks for reporting the issue!```
the specific error in the log file is:
```Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, open
'C:\Users\[userName]\AppData\Local\PatchKit\sender_id'```i've tried:
restarting the PC
running as administrator
manually creating a folder in 'Local' called 'Patchkit'
prior to the steps above, the error was:
'C:\Users\[userName]\AppData\Local\PatchKit'```

i haven’t even installed yet, this is for the installer

nevermind, there was indeed the option to uninstall. i used the uninstaller, then tried launching the the Theorcrafy Games Launcher Setup and i received the same issue

i have no antivirus other than windows defender, and i dont have any "debuggers, game mod, or other reverse engineering tools"

SOLVED:
-navigated to 'C:\Users[userName]\AppData\Local'
-created a new folder called PatchKit
-right click the folder -> properties
-navigated to the "security" tab at the top
-selected group "everyone", then clicked "edit..."
-selected the check box under "allow" for "full control"
-hit OK, and then OK again
-relaunched the installer, working as intended!
