#Mass Free Tier Exploitation via Outlook Email Aliases
9 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Thanks for flagging this; the behavior you describe (creating many accounts, including via aliases, to repeatedly get free-tier AI credits) matches what Warp’s Terms of Service define as “Fraudulent Activity” and “Abuse,” including:
- creating or using multiple identities/accounts to obtain unauthorized access, credits, or services [Definitions]
- creating multiple accounts or masking identity to circumvent free tier allowances, promotional credit, or usage limits [Restrictions]
Warp may suspend or terminate accounts, and block identifiers (accounts, devices, IPs, etc.) when it reasonably suspects this kind of activity, and can revoke free-tier or promotional benefits obtained that way. [Termination; Credits and promotions]
However, I don’t have access to internal systems, so I can’t investigate or take action directly. To get this in front of the right team, please forward the details (including any logs, patterns, or additional examples you have) to Warp support:
- Email: the same address used for fraud/appeal reviews:
[email protected][Flagged as fraudulent]
Mention that you’re reporting suspected large-scale free-tier abuse via Outlook “+” aliases and include the sample addresses you shared. That will give the team enough context to investigate.
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
@meager berry Kapa.ai is still learning and improving, please let me know how I did by reacting below.
Kapa can't access it, but you can send a message to [email protected] (which is usually for getting unbanned, but they'll have the resources to look into this type of thing)
@meager berry
ok
Thanks... I'm going to remove the original message though because we don't want people to read it and get ideas to try it themself...
(I'll take a screenshot to pass along beforehand)
got
I passed on the info if you want to skip having to write an email (but if you can provide extra info via email that'd be great)
Thanks for passing it along! If I find more info I'll send it to [email protected].
