Warp already has some directory-selection UX and related feature requests, but nothing exactly like “click change directory → open a folder picker dialog” yet.

Today, Warp’s Active directory chip in the Universal Input lets you click through folders to move into them, and click files to open them in Warp’s editor, which partially addresses easier navigation without typing cd paths. [Universal input]

There’s also an open feature request to improve the change directory menu selector UX (navigating folders/files more efficiently from that menu), which is conceptually close to what you’re suggesting. [cd menu UX]

However, the knowledge sources do not mention a native “system folder picker dialog” for changing directories, nor a planned feature that matches your idea exactly. [cd menu UX]

Your suggestion would fit well alongside these existing requests; the closest public tracking item is that “Better UX for the change directory(cd) menu selector” issue.
