#Hey! I just found Warp and tried to sign up ...

Warp’s login system sometimes flags accounts as potential Terms of Service violations even when the user hasn’t actually done anything wrong.
From the docs and GitHub issues, there are two common causes:
-
Automatic fraud/misuse detection
Warp has a system that looks for patterns that resemble misuse (for example, behavior similar to creating multiple accounts to get free AI or promo codes). This can produce false positives and block sign‑up or login with a message like the one you saw.[Login troubleshooting; GitHub comment] -
Ad / script / tracker blockers or strict browsers
Using browsers or extensions that block ads, scripts, or trackers (e.g., Brave, Firefox with strict settings, uBlock, Privacy Badger, etc.) can interfere with Warp’s auth flow and cause the system to incorrectly flag your account.[Login troubleshooting; GitHub 7777]
What you can try right now
-
Disable blockers and retry
- Turn off ad/script/tracker blockers (or use a clean browser profile / incognito with no extensions).
- Try signing up again with Google.[Login troubleshooting]
-
Try another Warp account/email
If you have another email or identity you can use, try signing up with that.[Login troubleshooting]
- If it still says “violates our Terms of Service”
Then Warp’s system has effectively blocked that account. The docs say that in this case you’ll need to email Warp support to appeal:- Email: the address listed in the docs (support for ToS blocks); note that responses there are “greatly delayed.”[Login troubleshooting]
