#Can I turn the "share commands..." off and set warp drive as default tab?

Hi @civic kiln. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
You can get closer to what you want, but not exactly everything you’re asking for yet.
1. Turn off / hide “Share…” UI
The dedicated “Share” button in the tab bar has already been removed in recent versions of Warp, so it should no longer take up space. [Hide share button; Tab bar icons]
Session sharing is now only accessible via:
- Command Palette: “Share New Session” / “Share Current Session”
- Pane header overflow menu: “Start Session sharing”
- Right‑click context menu: “Share session…” [Hide share button]
There isn’t a separate global toggle to completely disable the feature; it’s just no longer a persistent top‑bar icon.
If your goal is overall minimal UI, Warp also exposes many UI toggles (auto suggestions, AI, etc.) via the Command Palette → search for “Disable”. [Minimal UI guide]
2. Set Warp Drive to open by default
Based on the current info, there is no built‑in setting yet to always open Warp Drive automatically when Warp starts. Multiple users have requested:
- A setting like “Warp Drive open on load / closed on load / remember previous state” [Warp Drive visibility; Warp Drive + AI default open]
Warp team members have confirmed:
- Warp Drive currently opens by default the first time, but
- There is no option to open it on every startup. [Warp Drive visibility]
Current workaround:
- Bind a shortcut for Warp Drive in
Settings → Keyboard shortcuts → "Open Warp Drive"
and use that each time you start Warp. [Warp Drive visibility]
Warp Drive itself is accessed from the status bar or with CMD-\ (macOS) / CTRL-SHIFT-\ (Windows/Linux). [Warp Drive docs]
So, in summary:
- The intrusive “Share” button is already removed from the top bar.
- There’s no setting yet to make Warp Drive the default/open-on-start view; you need to open it manually (or via a custom shortcut) each session.
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
