#why can't i cancel my subscription?
30 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi @raven oar. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Based on the information in the knowledge sources, you should still be able to cancel your Warp subscription, including legacy plans like Turbo, through the billing portal:
You can cancel at any point throughout your subscription through the billing portal by going to
Settings > Billing and usage > Manage billing. Cancelled subscriptions will remain active until the end of the billing cycle.
Plans & Pricing FAQ
Even though Warp is transitioning to the new Build plan and deprecating Turbo, Pro, and Lightspeed, existing customers retain their current plan until their next renewal after December 1, 2025. You should still have the option to manage or cancel your subscription until that transition occurs. If you do not see the option to cancel, this may be a bug or an account-specific issue.
If the cancellation option is missing or not working, you should contact Warp support directly for assistance. You can email them at the address provided in their documentation for billing issues:
Contact Warp Support
If you are unable to resolve the issue through the portal, reaching out to support is the recommended next step.
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

Doesn’t that say something about Cancel in the upper right corner?
why but there is no option here to cancel my subscription, there was only for AI Credit Overages but not for my monthly subscription
Look at the button in the upper right of that screen…
Plus, you have to @ the bot for it to continue the conversation, it doesn’t have context with things said when you don’t @ it
sorry m8
@tame atlas but there is no option here to cancel my subscription, there was only for AI Credit Overages but not for my monthly subscription
Let me check the knowledge base for you again. One moment! :books:
If you do not see an option to cancel your subscription in the billing portal (Settings > Billing and usage > Manage billing), this is not the expected behavior according to Warp's official documentation. The documentation clearly states that you should be able to cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal, and that cancelled subscriptions remain active until the end of the billing cycle How do I cancel my subscription?.
If the cancellation option is missing, this may be a bug or an account-specific issue. The knowledge sources do not provide a workaround for this scenario. The recommended action is to contact Warp support directly for help with your subscription. You can email them at the address provided for billing issues: [email protected] Plans & Pricing.
I'm sorry, but the knowledge sources do not contain more detailed troubleshooting steps for when the cancellation option is missing from the portal. Please reach out to Warp support for direct assistance.

Does that mention Cancel overages? I can’t read that language, but it looks like the word Cancel
that button in the upper right corner is to not cancel the AI Credit Overages
Ok, sorry about that…. Are you on the main admin screen, it looks different than what I see (obviously not counting language)
yes i'm but there is no option to change my current plan or cancel it...
and this is the admin page before the billing page from stripe
And I'm guessing the "Manage" link in the corner is the previous screen you were on?
yes sir
What's your renewal date? It was Nov 1 correct?
yes correct
problably it will auto renew tomorrow and i'll need to ask for refund wich isn't great
Ok, I don't have access to Billing/Accounts, but I can push to staff to either be able to force cancel it or to get in contact with you directly but I will make sure that if you do get charged (I know that's not what you want) I'll make sure that they do process a refund.
well dont worry about that to much
it is only a few bucks anyway
but thanks for the help
To be clear, would you like me to pass the info along and get it cancelled/refunded? or just leave it for now?
Due to the recent changes, your Nov 1 will be the same you've been paying, but starting Dec 1 it would move you to the Build Account unless you do cancel or switch to annual before Dec 1 to lock in the price/plan.
just leave it for now
ok... You can feel free to DM me about this later if you change your mind (You'll just have to remind of the conversation if you contact me since I get a lot of DMs)
all right man, thank you very much.
