Hi @stone belfry. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Yes, Warp does sync your MCP server configurations between devices. MCP server configurations are stored in the cloud as part of Warp Drive, not locally on disk. This means that when you configure MCP servers in Warp, those configurations are available on any device where you log in with your Warp account, as long as you have the necessary dependencies or servers installed on each device for them to run properly. There is currently no option for local-only MCP configuration storage; all MCP server settings are managed and synced via the cloud to provide a consistent experience across devices Support for local MCP server config storage Warp 2.0: Drive context for your teammates and your agents.

The ability to sync MCP server configurations across devices in Warp was implemented with the addition of MCP server support in Warp Drive. According to the official changelog, this feature was released in version v0.2025.05.28.08.11, dated May 28, 2025. This update made it possible to extend Agent Mode's capabilities using programs that support the Model Context Protocol, and MCP server configurations are stored in the cloud as part of Warp Drive, enabling syncing between devices Changelog 2025.05.28 Support for local MCP server config storage.
