Is it possible to remove suggestions upon start of the new terminal?
I've asked AI but it has hallucinated a Welcome entry in the docs or I just could not find it.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Hi @daring tide. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Yes, you can disable the startup suggestions in Warp. Based on the knowledge sources, there are a few different types of startup suggestions that can be disabled:

  1. For the AI prompt suggestions that appear when opening a new terminal tab, you can disable them by going to Settings > Features > General and toggling off the Recommend AI prompts on new tab option as mentioned by a Warp team member.

  2. If you're seeing a welcome message or banner that takes up screen space, some users have reported that it eventually goes away after using Warp for a while. As a temporary workaround, you can use the clear command to clear the terminal as suggested in this GitHub issue.

  3. For AI-related features in general, Warp has added a global AI opt-out setting that disables all AI features and removes all AI-related entry points from the UI. You can find this in the Settings menu as announced in this GitHub issue.

  4. If you're specifically seeing input hint text (like "Try typing natural language instead of a command"), you can disable this under Settings > Feature > Editor > show input hint text as mentioned by a support staff member.

The specific setting you need might depend on which type of suggestions you're seeing at startup, but these options should help you get a cleaner terminal interface.
