Hi @young quiver. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Based on the knowledge sources, Warp does not currently support Nushell as a default shell. There is significant interest from users in adding Nushell support, as evidenced by multiple GitHub issues and comments with hundreds of upvotes.

According to a comment from a Warp team member in May 2023, Nushell support was "not currently on the roadmap as it would require a significant amount of engineering work" GitHub issue #880. They encouraged users to upvote comments requesting Nushell support to help gauge interest.

There is a dedicated GitHub issue (#2038) tracking Nushell support requests, which remains open as of the latest information available. The Warp team has acknowledged the demand but has not provided a specific timeline for implementation.

In the meantime, a community member has created an unofficial workaround for Nushell support in Warp, which can be found at UserSv4/nushell-warp, though your experience may vary with this unofficial solution.

Currently, Warp officially supports bash, zsh, fish, and recently added experimental PowerShell (pwsh) support, but Nushell is not yet among the supported shells.
