Thinking of switching over my shell over to my shell, does it play well with Warp?

Hi @waxen raptor. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Unfortunately, Warp does not currently have official support for Nu shell (nushell). Here are the key points regarding Nu shell support in Warp:

  1. Nu shell is not one of the officially supported shells in Warp. The currently supported shells are bash, zsh, and fish Warp's blog post about subshell support (https://www.warp.dev/blog/warp-supports-subshells#go-forth-and-warpify).

  2. There is an open feature request for Nu shell support in Warp GitHub issue #880 (https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/issues/880). Many users have expressed interest in this feature.

  3. While there's no official support, a Warp user has created an unofficial workaround for Nu shell support. However, your experience may vary with this unofficial solution Discord support thread (https://discord.com/channels/851854972600451112/1193649402338869421).

  4. The Warp team is aware of the demand for Nu shell support, but as of now, it's not on their near-term roadmap (next 3 months or so) GitHub issue #64 (https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/issues/64).

Given this information, if you're planning to switch to Nu shell, be aware that it may not work well with Warp at the moment. You might want to consider sticking with one of the officially supported shells (bash, zsh, or fish) for the best experience with Warp.
