#auth token

Hi @crisp vale. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
The "Auth Token" is an authentication token that is used to verify your identity when you're logging into Warp. If you're having trouble logging in by clicking "Take me to Warp", you can manually copy this authentication token and paste it into the app.
Here's how you can do it:
- Go to the web logged-in page at https://app.warp.dev/logged_in.
- Copy the authentication token provided on this page.
- Paste it into the Warp app.
If "Take me to Warp" is still not working, it may be due to a proxy issue. You can find more information on a workaround here (https://embiid.blog/post/WARP-does-not-work-after-submitting-an-invite-code/). If the issue persists, please fill out this Typeform (https://zachlloyd.typeform.com/to/UnZu0akR#&question=take_me_to_warp?utm_source=docs) and the Warp team will reach out to you.
For more details, you can refer to the Warp troubleshooting guide (https://docs.warp.dev/help/troubleshooting-login-issues#nothing-happens-when-i-click-take-me-to-warp).
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
@crisp vale kapa.ai is still learning and improving, please let us know how it did by reacting below
where can I get an "auth token" if I don't have one?
I am asking the same..
@crisp vale @heady plume the here text, click it it gets copied
You should get a web popup with the sign in/up page loaded. Once you've completed that, it should ask for permission to open Warp, click yes, and it will drop in the auth token
install gnome-keyring and seahorse to save the auth token, remember to reboot after installing both and running once so that warp automaticaally goes into the app
i have both installed, as i am on gnome, so they come with it.
