Happy Monday, Explorers. We’re working on a little beginner’s guide to Core Keeper that we’ll be sharing on Steam, and we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get a little input from you, the community! GlowTulip

If you're up for it, feel free to respond to this thread with any gameplay advice you’d give new Explorers just starting out on their journey in the underground, and we might just include it in our upcoming Steam post (crediting you, of course!).

kill anything you see, there are no friendly mobs.

For good items farm plants and trade them, for some reason, players are hyped about cooking skill like the boss weren't too easy already.

#

don't trade in your main world.

Making small mini bases across the world is a good idea, since you might forget stuff like bridges, or foods, meaning you don't gotta walk back.

#

Also, use railways.

Please.

Check the merchant's after every boss, they might have new thing's for sale!

Shift is Quick Swap to a torch. Ghorm's path is OP for farming materials early because it's super low hanging fruit. Miner is generally the best starting classes because free copper pickaxe. Hardcore deletes your character, not your world. Combine different foods for the best effects. Bring a water supply close to your crops for easy watering. Play at your own place. Just a few quick tips.

U can hold down the left click while crafting... not me clicking it one by one for 300 torches as a beginner 🤣

That was going to be mine. Instead I'll add: Good food is essential to survival, get plenty of hearty pepper wraps 🍟 for healing and speed on the go!

Ooh, another bit of advice for beginners: check the control settings. You'll be amazed at what the developers have already included 🙂

Use Bomb Pepper + Heart Berry for cooking early on and planting because you get loads of it

#

End game, you don't use those at alll. Save it all for bombs and potions. But golden version of those plants can be used for cooking

Don't be afraid to space out, build a few small bases here and there with repair stations, and extra necessities.
