no as long as your a ps4 or ps5 user u can cross play the game any map only issue is progresss isn't cross save

so u have to start over

but u can play with the ohter system

doesnt' matter if your on ps5 and your friends are on ps4 version

i your start the game over on the other version u start from a blank save
