just returned to the game and found out I can't open my other world because its too far back that it crashes, I don't have much to trade since I just got back but I do have some golden crops, oaths/tulips/heartberries/bombpepper

Yeah but details can matter. Like where/how the Avatar loads into the world. I've delt with crashes. I've had to make new characters just to go into the world and fix the offending issue causing the bug.

Do you have a lot of sprinklers? And if so are they near portals?

Nope the new world has a ton of them and still works, the old one however even with fewer Items crash unexpected

Old worlds do seem to be less stable. I wonder if there's a large number of mobs left over somewhere.

Did you have it running around the time that one hotfix released the mob cap count?

In fact I think the new worlds spawn more mobs, larger caverns and tunnels increase the amount of spawn tiles in the world
