How did you get the lower left area? A recent discussion in the game discussion thread lead me to believe it wasn't possible unless you made a pond on the outer rim.

not sure who or what made you believe otherwise, but you can indeed bucket grimy water from the Passage

ah, well, the bottom left biome is the Passage instead, the Forgotten Ruins water is indeed just normal water
