Well, at least you can remove the gateway with drills.

It'll restore in 10 minutes, then you can touch it again for re-activation.

At least it's a relatively easy solution for a temporary problem

Talk to someone who re runs alot. It's not that rare, but quite uncommon.
Tho it's easier if u up the ore rarity to extreme. Boulder will spawn more, more chance to be above waypoint

Oh yeah, it's still happening in that seed! So there are some cases where this might still happen, very interesting! Will pass this on to the team! Thank you so much for posting, it is indeed a bug.
I'm so sorry about that! As someone else mentioned, you should be able to use drills to break either the Waypoint or the boulder, in order for you to use it without dying.
